Our Strategic Plan
Providing services and supports to people with cerebral palsy (and similar conditions) and their families is why The Centre for Cerebral Palsy exists. Over the past two to three years The Board and Executive have worked with stakeholders, clients, families and staff to obtain their views on how to improve our services, what should be our future directions, our priorities, and organisational needs.
The Centre’s vision is to be part of a community celebrating possibilities and achieving dreams. Within that our purpose is and always has been to assist people with cerebral palsy, other disabilities and their families through a range of services, supports and community awareness. Our Strategic Plan outlines our key focus areas and objectives for 2011-13 that will help us achieve our purpose and progress our vision.
The Plan is an exciting document. It identifies the four areas that we will be focusing on during 2011-13:
|
Leadership |
Leading and providing excellence in technology, services and support, knowledge and awareness |
|
Personalised Services |
Working with individuals, families and carers to provide innovative and responsive services that meet their particular needs and provide real choice and supports |
|
Workforce Skilling and Profile |
Using current workforce trends, staffing profiles and learning and development frameworks to support staff, improve service quality and stretch boundaries of achievement |
|
Corporate Sustainability |
Broadening our resource base, improving our assets and infrastructure and providing rigorous governance to support staff, individuals and families to explore possibilities. |

Quality Management Framework
The Centre for Cerebral Palsy’s Quality Management Framework is closely aligned with The Centre’s Strategic Plan; with the Quality and Standards frameworks of funding bodies at a state and national level and with the Interim National Quality Framework for Disability Services in Australia. Through the framework we seek to ensure that our services are excellent and that they are directly responsive to our clients’ needs as the clients themselves define them. The framework is both dynamic and evolving, and will be extended and enhanced over time. The framework is embedded in a client and family centred culture that embraces change and which is focused on outcomes for individuals, families and carers. It is a tool to facilitate the systemic analysis of The Centre’s services – current status and activities, opportunities for improvement and barriers to change.
