Hanen LLLI for students with disabilities
An adapted Learning Language and Loving It ® program that will better suit the learning needs of people who work with students who have severe and/or multiple disabilities.

Modified Constraint-Induced Therapy (ModCIT): A randomised controlled trial with children with cerebral palsy
A collaborative multi-site study led by The Children’s Hospital at Westmead & also involving The Spastic Centre of New South Wales.
Nurturing Cultures II - 'Information for Families' Booklet
A resource to empower culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) families who have a child with cerebral palsy. Information about disability, client/family rights, The Centre's services, and other general information has been translated into Arabic, Chinese, French, Persian and Vietnamese. English version also available for reference. (NB. Translated pdfs are low resolution, appropriate for online viewing and not printing. A free set can be issued on request, larger quantities are also negotiatable.)
Factors affecting the sleep of children with neurodevelopmental disorders
A retrospective analysis of referrals to the Sleep Solutions service between July 2007 and July 2010 to determine what factors affect the sleep of children referred to the clinic.

To investigate the use of the Actiwatch for assessing sleep in children with CP and their parents and to develop initial guidelines for its use.
The Write Stuff: A Resource Package for Therapists to use to develop literacy for clients at TCCP
A Resource Package to assist Speech Pathologists at TCCP in the assessment and treatment of clients with having difficulty acquiring literacy.
MOVES – Creative Movement Options
A program providing adults with a disability with the opportunity to explore creative movement to music in a supportive community environment.
Fostering Life Skills
An interactive six-part workshop to help adolescents develop important life skills.
I Am I Can
Promoting the importance and use of practices that foster the development of self determination in young children, particularly those with cerebral palsy.
Move Students Safely in Schools
A project to ensure consistency in recommendations for the manual handling of students with mobility needs. This project trains occupational therapists and physiotherapists across several disability agencies, who are providing support to students in schools, in a consistent, best practice form of manual handling (Manutention).

The Functional Communication Classification Scale (FCCS) is a five-point scale that can be used to classify the functional communication skills of children with cerebral palsy.

A Step Up Task for Children in AFOs
A research study of the effects of hinged Ankle Foot Orthoses (AFOs) on muscle activity in children with spastic hemiplegia during a step-up task

A Systematic Review of Casting for Equinus in Children with Cerebral Palsy
A systematic review of the research literature on the effectiveness of casting with or without botox for the treatment of equinus in children with cerebral palsy.
Modified Constraint-Induced Therapy Day Camp for Adolescents with Cerebral Palsy
A two-week day-camp for adolescents with cerebral palsy and marked asymmetry of hand use, assessing the effects of modified constraint-induced movement therapy on their hand function and performance.
Sensory Processing, Comfort, and Pressure Associated with Different Cushions
Ten participants without disabilities sat on four cushions for two hours each. Their comfort, pressure, and sensory profiles were evaluated.

An examination of the perceptions of families and service providers of the extent to which family-centred services were being implemented.
The effectiveness of passive stretching in children with cerebral palsy
A review of the research literature about the effectiveness of passive stretching for children with spasticity.

All Kids All Sports: Inclusion of Children with Cerebral Palsy in Physical Education and Sport
A teacher/student educational information package on equipment, sport specific modifications and stretching, containing strategies and resources for inclusion.
What do I Need to Know? The Provision of General Information to Families with a Child with a Disability
A study that investigated what information families of children with a disability want and how they like to have it presented to them.

A Guide for Swimming Teachers
The Guide provides a skills framework, which incorporates the Foundation Levels of the Health and Physical Education Outcomes and Standards Framework and Stages 1 to 3 of the Department of Education’s Swimming and Water Safety Continuum. This information helps teachers to modify activities and skills for students with cerebral palsy.
