Teacher’s Workshop Program

Teacher workshops are run at the beginning of each school year with the aim of providing support and information to teachers and education assistants.  Information is provided on how to promote gross motor skills, fine motor skills and communication skills in children with cerebral palsy. Guest speakers are invited from the Centre for Inclusive Schooling, the Catholic Education Office, the Association of Independent Schools and Schools Plus. These speakers talk about the support that they can provide to schools and teachers with a child with cerebral palsy in their classroom. An older student or teacher presents on their past school experiences, and what helped to make them successful.

In 2012, two workshops will be run on February 29.  These workshops are:

Workshop A – School Start
For teachers of Kindergarten to Year One students (inclusive) and

Workshop B – Junior Years and Up
For teachers of Year Two and above.
