Volunteer

If you have a little time to spare, are keen to learn something new, and would like to help improve the quality of life of a person with a disability, then you could be just who we are looking for!

Volunteers play a major role within The Centre for Cerebral Palsy and are often essential to the successful implementation and maintenance of a diverse range of programmes and activities for children and adults with cerebral palsy.

We welcome volunteers and the assistance they offer our staff, in enabling clients to receive quality services. It takes dedication, patience and a caring nature to work with people with disabilities. We understand this so we maintain high standards for our volunteers and support their roles by providing orientation sessions, training and on-going supervision and support.

While many of our volunteers choose to work directly with people with disabilities, others choose to assist in a range of activities such as fundraising, clerical and other administrative tasks. We have a whole range of activities to ensure that you are able to use your skills to your best advantage and find something that you enjoy doing.

All our volunteers are valued and respected for their unique contribution to both the clients and the organisation. Volunteering is a way in which even a small amount of time, talent and energy can make an enormous impact on the lives of others.

If you are interested in volunteering your time to help us with our work in an area of interest we would love to hear from you. For further information on volunteering for The Centre for Cerebral Palsy please contact our Volunteer Programme Co-ordinator on (08) 9443 0567.

Under legislation, The Centre for Cerebral Palsy provides Personal Accident Insurance coverage to volunteers aged between 16 and 75 years. This policy does not cover reimbursement of medical expenses as any medical expenses incurred within Australia can be claimed through Medicare.
