The Centre has proudly celebrated potential and created possibilities for people with CP and like disabilities since 1951 through a wide range of services and activities.

One of these special activities is National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week (CP Week) which is celebrated annually to recognise the achievements of people with cerebral palsy and to create greater awareness, understanding and acceptance.

This year's CP Week campaign is led by inspirational Maria, an accomplished young lawyer who has inspired us with her outstanding achievements. Maria's achievements have also inspired eleven aspiring young CP Stars who have dreams of their own. Three of these Stars are five year old Kaisah who wants to be on TV when she grows up, six year old Bianca who wants to be an Olympian and run like the Wind, and six year old Jayson who wants to be a Racing Driver. Kaisah, Bianca and Jayson feature in the video below which is being aired by TV stations throughout WA.

Go the extra mile
Another highlight of CP Week is our Community Excellence Awards, these Awards gives us the opportunity to recognise businesses and their employees who 'go the extra mile' for a person with CP. If this sounds like a business you know we would love to hear from you. Nominations forms can be downloaded here.

Special thanks to Maria and our CP Week Stars and their families for kindly sharing their inspirational stories with us to create greater awareness, understanding and acceptance of cerebral palsy and what can be achieved when you have a dream and the necessary support and understanding to make it possible.

The range of CP Week celebrations would not be possible without the generous support we continue to receive from our loyal Sponsors, Community partners, Supporters and Volunteers listed below, your support of these businesses would be greatly appreciated.

For more information on how you can become involved or contribute to the work of The Centre, please contact us on (08) 9443 0228 or info@tccp.com.au. We look forward to sharing this inspirational Week with you.
