One of our goals for Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week (CP Week) 1-7 August is to create greater awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with cerebral palsy (CP) and like disabilities.
Here's a special message from Imran, an adult with CP in Western Australia. "People in society today have turned over a new chapter shaping a generation of maturity and respect for people with disabilities. We are now more welcome and included as members of the community than ever before. It makes us feel valued and respected as fellow citizens. People are less likely to judge us by their physical barriers or disabilities, race, ethnicity and spirit belief."
It is only through initiatives like our CP Week message that we can continue making this world a better place for people with disability.
Your support by sharing this message with people you know will help us achieve this goal.
