Support Networks
There are various support networks for families of children with disabilities and for the children themselves. Some are purely web-based. Others will put you in contact with local groups of parents and children whom you can meet personally if you want to.
These networks can provide social support and practical tips and ideas about everyday issues. No two children are exactly the same, not even when they have the same diagnosis. But different families do have similar experiences, and it is good to make contact with other families who have a child with a disability.
