Report from the Board of Directors - February 2010

Major areas for strategic and operational attention over the last month included:

 

·        Clarification around the status of the Centre’s redevelopment application to the Department of Housing and subsequent letter to the Treasurer/Minister for Housing and Works

·         Negotiations with City of Stirling regarding Federally funded onsite Training Room redevelopment and approval process

·         Receipt of the report on the Review of Therapy Services by Paula Dyke

·         Finalisation of changes to Constitution and operation of Cerebral Palsy Australia

·         Work on businesses cases arising out of Social Systems and Evaluation Strategic Research

·         Half yearly financial review including preparation of estimated operating result for year  

·         Commencement of HSU Collective Agreement negotiations

·         Analysis of major issues arising from the Staff Wellness and Satisfaction Survey

·         Negotiations regarding The Centre’s participation in the Community Aids and Equipment Refurbishment Scheme, which will involve the Disability Services Commission, Rocky Bay, Therapy Focus and TCCP

·         Reduction of agency usage

·         New arrangements for the Café that operates within the Sir David Brand Centre.
